Don't Call it a Comeback

Big Idea: When there is no way out, God makes a way through, winning a victory no one else can claim, and getting glory no one else deserves.

1. Sovereign Setup (vv. 1–9)
+ God led them to the dead end on purpose.
+ One purpose: the fame of His name (v. 4).

2. Slavery's Shadow (vv. 10–12)
+ They saw Pharaoh without seeing God.
+ Israel was out of Egypt, but Egypt not yet out of them.

3. Saving Stand (vv. 13–15)
Four commands, then a fifth:
+ Fear not
+ Stand firm
+ See
+ Be silent
+ Go forward (v. 15)

4. Sea-Splitting Salvation (vv. 16–31)
+ The Lord shields His people (vv. 19–20)
+ The Lord splits the sea (vv. 21–22)
+ The Lord swallows the enemy (vv. 23–28)
+ The Lord saves Israel (vv. 29–31)
+ Saved first. Then they believed (v. 31).
