Death and Taxes

Text: Matthew 17:22-27

Big Idea: Followers of Jesus rejoice in the privilege of their tax-exempt status as sons, and then lovingly yield that privilege to serve others. 

1. Jesus' tax-exemption confirms his deity and rightful place in God’s economy.
2. Our tax-exempt status is not merely for personal enjoyment but is entrusted to us for the sake of love and the benefit of others.
3. Receive Jesus’ payment by faith and rejoice in your tax-exempt status as sons and daughters of God.
